Hi All,
We had a very exciting time in room 1 this past week when Connor decided to do things all by himself. He managed to take himself to the sink, turn the taps on, wash his hands, turn the tap off and negotiated his way back to the classroom, all without calling for help once. We all had to celebrate the moment with a 'purple' celebration- lots of cheering and clapping for Connor.
Apparently he thought about it all night long, as he greeted his family with 'I'm in purple', first thing the next morning. Well done, Connor. Simply fantastic!

Since writing the last post, we have celebrated Grandparents Day with the whole school and wider community. We had a most successful day with lots of visitors, afternoon tea made by the students for their guests and a concert in which every child participated with such enthusiasm, that everyone was impressed with their achievements. Truly magnificent!
In the remaining few weeks of term we are investigating who we are in terms of where we live, who we interact with on a daily or weekly basis, both within the family and within our community.
