Welcome to week 7 ( for kids and week 8 for teachers) of term 1!
How time flies.
Last week we had a great time at our annual swim carnival with neighbouring special schools.
The weather was a little cooler than usual and was a deterent to some, however, many of us braved the water and had lots of fun.
The older children did some amazing things, demonstrating some strong swimming skills in the 50 metre pool. Our Juniors had novelty events in the small pool.
We were so pleased to have many parents attend and join in the fun of the day.
Well done to everyone who came.
As planned, this week we will read, dramatise and generally have a lot of fun with The Three Little Pigs. Check out the Cbeebies story link. It is the original story with a slight difference. Hope you all enjoy it at home. Also follow the links on Room 13's blog to Autism links and then the Hi Ya site. The Hi Ya site is created by a mother of two autistic children. She has created an animated powerpoint of The three little Pigs you can down load.
Testing has begun in Literacy and we already have some impressive results.
Once Literacy testing is finalised we will begin testing in Numeracy.
Individual Learning Plans will also be sent home soon, if not already, for parents to read and add your comments to before the final copy is completed ready for all to sign.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to talk with your child's teacher.
Have a good week everyone.
Jill

Hi Guys,
I found a story online today and I thought of you straight away. It is the story of The Little Red hen.
There are some other great stories on this site that I think you might like too!
Keep up the good work.
