We've just concluded a fabulous Thursday, in fact all week has been a lot of exciting moments where the children have each excelled at a variety of things.

Today we celebrated TeyNeisha's efforts at reading. She can now locate 10 different words from a larger selection of words and picture cue cards, in response to specific questioning. We were really blown away today when she took it a step further and made herself two sentences using a combination of pictures and words. This resulted in a Standing Ovation for TeyNeisha and a very proud and happy girl all day long.

Lauren also acheived a Standing Ovation for using her eye gaze board to indicate she wanted to greet people using 'hi' instead of 'good morning' during circle time. Then she really raised the bar by actually saying, 'hi' as she looked at Joshua.
Everyone was so excited, cheering loudly that for a second Lauren wasn't sure if the reaction from us was good or bad. Once she realised this was a happy moment she laughed and laughed with us.

We had to ring Belinda who came up from the office all dressed in purple for this amazing purple moment.
We had other amazing moments today as well. I have decided that a purple moment is really infectious!
Joshua identified 10 different letters from a large collection in response to, " find me B for Braydon" etc
Then Braydon decided not to be left out and found all the children's and staff members names and matched them to their photos.
Nicholas read the 100 most used word list correctly - every single word, wrote a brief dictation well and James played switch games on the computer using the switch without prompting.
What an wonderful group of children.
