Welcome to 'pink' week.
On Monday we went to the Botanic Gardens and looked for all things 'pink'. We found quite a lot of pink flowers! The children took it in turns to take photos. Braydon took this photo of the rhododendrum.
On Tuesday we experimented with different colours to try and make pink. TeyNeisha was able to work out we needed red and white. Once this was established the children had great fun mixing more red or more white to make shades of pink.
We then tried applying this idea to red strawberries and white milk, mixed together in the food processor. Magic occured and we created yummy pink milk!!!
We also made our own strawberry yoghurt using easiyo.
Today Belinda made strawberry desert with the children using yoghurt and strawberry jelly.
We have been reading Pamela Allen's book "Belinda" this week.
There are more pink things to come!
