Hi to all our families and friends.
We've experienced a very wet August so far, and as a result have had to find lots of activities to keep us occupied inside during play times. At present the children are very happy playing with trains or farm animals. and a few extra visits to the sensory room. Some children have even assisted with daily jobs around the school. You can see what Ethan thought of helping with the washing on our picture trail.
Unfortunately we've had a lot of illnesses going around with half the class away on two days this term. Hopefully things will improve before long.
We now have two computers in our classroom, plus Jill's lap top, so things are really looking up in the ICT department!!
Have you tried our link to Copacabana School??? Check it out on the right side of our blog. There are numerous fun activities to explore at home.
We have more exciting news about Connor. It looks like we will be entering him in Little Athletics before long. He is now walking short distances across the room without any support at all. Simply amazing. One of the nicest things about our students is their keeness to support and share in others successes. All have been encouraging Connor and cheering him on as he makes each attempt. It is pure delight to see how the children are learning to care for and respect each other.
Yesterday we went to gymnastics for the first time this year. What fun we had! Special mention goes to William for having a go at every activity. Daniel, Camron, Connor and Jack were simply amazing too- following instructions and joining in every exercise and challenge. I will upload some photos for you to check out shortly.
Keeping you posted.
Jill
