December 2009

Greetings everyone,
Well our school year is nearly over. We have just two weeks remaining until holidays.
As is our tradition we will be doing all things Christmas over the coming days with craft, cooking, music and stories. Of course in amongst all this will be our concert preparations for the 16th December when the children of room 14 will become little locomotives and chug around stage- hopefully in time to the song.
We have had a wonderful year with so many new skills developed and practised by staff and students. Our highlights have been the Gym and Swim programs in Physical Education.
Some of the boys have developed some great computer skills too and can navigate their way independently onto our class blog and then throughout the site, leading to many others.
Some parents have been able to come and join us each week and given a great deal of time and committment to helping make our programs a success. The children love having their parents come along too, so thank you.
We have been fortunate to have some very good teacher aides supporting our students. The input these committed and dedicated people bring to our team is irreplacable. Thank you to Meaghan, Bree and Katrina. All the children have progressed because of your hard work.
Thanks to one and all.
Merry Christmas.
Jill
