Hi everyone!

Well it's purple this week. Lots of lovely purple!

We began this morning by experimenting how to make purple with blue and red paint.
That was not as easy as making orange or green. It took quite a bit of careful tipping and pouring to get the paint looking purple and not a shade of red or blue.
To get the children thinking 'purple', I made the children a 'purple' powerpoint, which we viewed on our interactive white board. I used the song 'If all the world were paper...' as my inspiration and changed it to 'If all the world were purple, what a strange place it would be..'.etc
The kids thought this was indeed a strange thought. Perhaps we will be able to create a purple paper place tomorrow with our purple paintings???!!!

Oh my goodness TeyNeisha, what a beautiful shade of purple. What are you going to do with all your fabulous paintings? Perhaps your class could be our first visiting painters exhibition in our virtual gallery.
